The Shepton Branch – GWR 1930s/40s
This route is an 8 mile fictional GWR branch line set between 1930-40. Originally built during the outbreak of WWI as a spur for a small air force outpost west of Kingsbury, the route weaves its way through the rolling hills and countryside north-west of Yeovil. After the war ended, the line then opened to serve the local farmland and neighbouring villages. A few years after, the line was extended a couple more miles when a small coal seam was found to the south, terminating at Shepton. Estimated release date: Late 2026.
