GAD Terms & Conditions
You (the customer) must read and agree to these terms and conditions before purchasing a Golden Age Developments product. 

Golden Age Developments (we) can be contacted through our website. Please include order number(s), if applicable, to help us support you faster.

Payment Handling

• Our store and downloads are managed by SimTrack Studios Ltd.
• Payments are made through a PayPal store; only PayPal have access to payment details.
• SimTrack Studios Ltd. will share your contact and order information with Golden Age Developments for the purposes of providing support and updates.

Pre-requisites (Requirements)
You must ensure you own/install any pre-requisites (requirements) before buying.

• Without all required pre-requisites, our content may not work as intended. For example (but not limited to): faulty scenarios, missing quick drives, missing assets, visual glitches, broken sounds.
• A working copy of Train Simulator Classic by Dovetail Games is required to use our content, unless otherwise stated.
• A functioning computer (‘hardware’) capable of running Train Simulator downloadable content (DLC) is required.
• You must be confident in operating your computer and using a .exe installer
• Instructions on the installer are found in the manual, and we will do our best to support you (see Support Policy below).
• We cannot take responsibility for problems with our content arising from missing/insufficient pre-requisites or hardware.

Download Policy
Once payment is completed and confirmed, you will be emailed a link to access and download your purchase.

• This link can only be used three times, after which you must contact us and wait for it to be reset. This number is not a guarantee and may change.
• Once the download link has been clicked, we have no way of tracking whether the download completed, so it will be treated as downloaded and installed.
• If you have poor quality internet, avoid clicking the button multiple times in quick succession. It is a slow, manual process to reset the link.
• If SimTrack Studios or Golden Age Developments cease to operate, downloads may become temporarily or permanently unavailable.
• Suspicious downloading activities may lead to a suspension of the link.

Usage, Sharing, and Copyright Policy
All contents are the property of Golden Age Developments and partners and are protected by copyright law. Under no circumstances can any of our files or products be shared without express written permission.

• All Golden Age Developments add-ons are for personal use ONLY.
• Sharing files with other people, or allowing files to be redistributed without our permission, is piracy and will lead to a ban from our store and escalation to the relevant authorities.
• Aliased or edited versions of our files, such as reskins or route modifications, may not be distributed without permission.
• Our products can be dependencies in third-party freeware projects, such as scenarios or custom routes, but our files may not be redistributed.
• We do not allow our content to be used in any ‘Payware’, ‘Donationware’, ‘Supportware’, or ‘Subscriptionware’ projects (specifically, any project where users must - or can opt to - pay for access or support), without agreement beforehand.

If you wish to request an exemption to any of the above policies, please contact us directly to obtain express written permission before proceeding.

Cancellation & Refunds Policy
Golden Age Developments operates an instant download service. By purchasing products from our online store and using this service, you lose your ’14 day right to cancel’. This is set by the Online Selling Regulations.
We will give a refund in the following circumstances, subject to our discretion:

• An item has been purchased more than once by the same email address.
• An item has not been downloaded (we can track this).
• The add-on is fundamentally broken (i.e. not working as intended by GAD).*

*We will try our best to fix the item before the decision to refund is given. There is no fixed timescale – see our Support & Updates policy.
A refund will not be given for the following (non-exhaustive) list of circumstances:

• Not understanding how to use the product (manuals are provided).
• Computer not being powerful enough to use the product satisfactorily.
• Missing hardware/software pre-requisites.
• The customer changing their mind or not being satisfied with the quality.**
• More than 30 days has passed since purchase

**Trailers, manuals, and advertising posts form part of the product description. Please read the descriptions and any disclaimers in those posts. Work-in-progress postings may not give a full representation of the final product.

Golden Age Developments operate a good faith support and refund policy. However, we reserve the right to block users from future purchases.

Support & Updates Policy
If you encounter a problem with one of our products, please contact us directly with instructions on how to reproduce it and images/videos if possible.
Include your order number in any support requests.

Golden Age Developments can be contacted via the form on their website:

• We aim to respond to all support requests in a reasonable time frame. However, please allow up to 10 working days before following up your message.
• We reserve the right to withhold or withdraw support from customers who become rude, abusive, or do not respond to our attempts to assist their issues.
• We will not provide support on any modified content.
• We may not reply to suggestions or requests.

Bugs and issues with content sometimes slip through our testing and quality assurance processes. Our updates policy is as follows:

• We aim to fix major issues in a timely manner. Minor issues may be held until a major issue warrants updating the software.
• In some cases, it may not be possible to fix an issue, for example if it is beyond our control or it would be too time consuming to resolve.
• If we can’t reproduce an issue it may be impossible for us to solve it.
• Some inaccuracies or inconsistencies may still be ‘working as intended’, in which case we will not fix them. This is highly situation-dependent and we appreciate customers’ understanding in our discretion.
• Timescales for updates can be quite long, as in many cases they need to go through testing (which relies on volunteer efforts).

Donation Policy
Golden Age Developments accepts donations to fund freeware projects and our website. Revenue from payware projects is primarily divided between project authors, aside from a 5% commission which goes towards upkeep of the website. Additional information for donators:

• Your donation will go into a PayPal account for Golden Age Developments managed by Harry Lewis
• We will spend donations on books and other reference material for our routes and other products
• Donation money only goes towards freeware projects and our website
• Your donation will not be in exchange for a service/benefit (i.e. a social media unban, special access)
  1. Except acknowledgement on our Discord server, if you donate over £5 and provide your username
  2. We occasionally offer early access to donators, however this is not guaranteed
• Under normal circumstances we will not be able to refund donations
  1. Contact us with as much information as you can if there is a problem
  2. If we have already spent the money we may be unable to help
• If you donate under a specific premise, we will try to honour it. But this is not always possible
• We will keep donators' personal information private
